Calcium for garden Posted 566 days ago Can anyone suggest a good source of calcium for a veggie garden. i have heard eggshells are a good source but for a large garden i cannot get enough of them. What about oyster shells or shell grit, are they OK and would they change the pH? Your comments and any other suggestions would be appreciated. |

RE: Calcium for garden Posted 565 days ago Bone meal is finely ground bone. A by-product from animal slaughterhouses, it is a great source of calcium and contains up to 15% phosphate. Bone meal promotes strong root systems and flowering. It is often used when growing flowers, bulbs and fruit trees. |
