RE: Potted Citrus Posted 573 days ago I'd suggest the following few things. Check that the soil is wetting out evenly all the way down. If not, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to a 9l watering can (after you fill it),apply that, then a good watering on top.Un-sealed terracotta can dry the soil out. Also, try Iron chelate on leaves and soil. Do you have a pH test-kit? Soil should be around the slightly acid mark. Also, a dose of Seasol always helps.Possibly the ground-covers have taken too much Nitrogen, so a high-N tonic might help. Any improvement will show in the newer leaves in about three or four days.If not, it might be best to replace the soil with the best quality you can get, water-in with seasol, and don't feed until the plant re-establishes.For controlling the black sooty mould and leaf-miner, I'd ask at a good nursery, since many treatments for these will also kill off the good guys.(bees, etc.)Hope all this helps a bit.Let's know how it goes. |
