watermelons Posted 727 days ago I am growing a variety called "red Rocket" described as having large oblong-shaped fruit with a high yield. The problem is, although the vine is vigorous with lots of flowers I have only succeeded in getting 2 flowers to grow into fruit and that is with hand pollination. Neither are growing very large (only the size of very small rockmelons) and the oldest of these 2 is about 5 weeks old. I've recently used Dynamic Lifter For Fruit and Citrus to see if that helps and I may have an issue with not enough sunlight. Although, I would have thought that would result in a weak plant with a lack of flowers and this isn't the case. Can anyone advise? |
