Tangelo disease

Posted 738 days ago

About one year ago I planted a young 'Minneola' TANGELO.
It was growing very well, and started to flower and bear fruit. But about one month ago part of the tree started to die, and now is death. Another part still grows well. On the trunk I noticed the golden-brown transparent secretion, which looks like resin.
Could you please tell me what happened and what to do to save my plant?

Check for holes where it's weeping. If any, stick a bit of wire in and swizzle it around, then squirt Lebaycid in. It might be a grub which I don't know the name of, but will kill many types of tree if left untreated. Hope this helps. Let's know how you go.

Thank you for you answer and advice. I didn’t find any holes, so I cut off this death branch. I checked it very carefully, and everything was OK. No holes inside, and no bugs ether. Yet, I still have no idea what the problem was.
