Oh dear... :( Posted 337 days ago My hubby and I have recently built a 20sqm vegie garden and I've put quite a bit in it over the last 2 months. I phoned around the local landscaping places to see what soil was best and got a load in. They gave me a bag of dynamic lifter to throw on once I got it all level. I can't remember what was all supposed to be in the soil, but clearly we have a problem - or my veggies do anyway! |

RE: Oh dear... :( Posted 334 days ago Know the feeling !! The soil may still be 'working" if it has compost mixed in,which can burn the roots of seedlings.Dig down with your hands to check soil temperature. If it's unexpectedley warm, and if you see mist coming off it,you just have to wait til the composting is finished and re-plant.(been there )If it's o.k. that way,try Iron Chelate as per label, and a liqid fertiliser with trace elements added.Worth getting a soil test kit.Cheap and easy to use,and monitor the soil pH occasionally.Without knowing your soil pH,you really are shooting in the dark. This sounds like nutrient deficiency due to alkaline soil.Do it today!! hope this helps.Let us know how you go. |
