Cherry Tree

Posted 802 days ago

Hi
My father in law has a few cherry trees that don't seem to bear much fruit and was wondering if you could find a solution. Every season the tree blooms with lots of flowers which turn into green cherries, however, most of them fall off the tree before they are ripe, with only a remaining 5 or so that stay on long enough to ripen. A couple of his trees are 5 years and the others 10 years. He lives in Roleystone WA which is in the gravelly hills of Perth. Every July/August he fertilises and potashes the trees. Do you have any answers as to why the fruit is not staying on the tree long enough to ripen? Others in the area are bearing lots of fruit.
Does anyone have any answers?
Mel
