Insects in Figs

Posted 708 days ago

I have a fig tree in my garden and the fruit is just starting to ripen, i have opened up the fruit and they are all full of little black insects. They look like flies but dont fly off when the fruit is opened up. There are no maggots inside the fruits and they are looking healthy on the outside/ inside except for being full of these insects. Does anybody have any idear what these insects are and how i should go about getting rid of them.
Thanks for any help,
Claire

Thanks for the suggestion, though i dont think this applies to me as i'm living in Perth and the weather has been boiling over the last few months, averaging about 35 - 40+ degrees and we havent had any decent rain since December.
Any other idears?
Thanks.
