Peach tree

Posted 734 days ago

I have a healthy 5 year old Peach tree which bears good size fruit each year but is riddled with maggots/worms. This year I sprayed the tree regularly with chemical Lebaycid, and also put a fruit fly trap in the tree, but to no avail.
I had to dispose of all the fruit on the tree because all of the fruit was infested. Could the ground under the tree be infected due to the fruit falling on the ground, and in turn cause the infestation of the fruit. ??
If you can suggest any remedies/solutions to the problem, I will be grateful.

Hi Sajdeh I have been grown peaches for the past 35 years we made jam whith them and believe me it is not the same as used to be once any more very hard to grow now but anyhow you can do it still at one time in the old days I use to spray only for fruit fly two times at the end now things have changed too many diseases, fungus , brown rot etch, etch, you have to spray at the beginning when the tree loose it's leaves for fungucide leaf kurl and brown rot then for fruit fly spray lebaicid or rogor six four thre and two weeks before picking, the old lebaicid used to be good once you only needed 5 ml for seven lts of water this new lebaicid it is not as good as the otherone Rogor it is good I spray that too for my tomatoes.Regards and good luck
