wombok

Posted 448 days ago

My wombok, planted about 2 months ago, is growing quite well but has been eaten by something leaving many small holes. No sign of anything under or on the leaves; no sign of snails. Any ideas what it might be and how to kill them?

It's almost certainly the white cabbage butterfly. Products such as Yates Success and Dipel, both of which are organic sprays, should control the problem, but you'll need to use them regularly.

If the problem is enormous great chunks eaten from the leaves, it might be grasshoppers or katydids, and these cannot be sprayed. You'll need to find and squash each bug.

But, for starters, try the Success or Dipel.
