What's wrong with my apricot tree? Posted 454 days ago My apricot tree is having a hard time; first a large branch died on one side. I removed that branch and now another branch has also died. What is wrong? Will I lose the tree? I don't think it's that old, it's trunk is only as thick as a mans arm. It produces the most wonderful crop of apricots each year. I would like to save it if possible. |

RE: What's wrong with my apricot tree? Posted 419 days ago There is sap but no sawdust, I'm in Adelaide we get reasonable winter rain but its very hot in summer. Water restrictions let us water twice a week. I do have bulbs planted around base of tree - Would this have any effect on the die back? |

RE: What's wrong with my apricot tree? Posted 414 days ago If you see the dreaded sawdust, rub it off and squirt Lebaycid into the tunnel underneath. It's a grub which can quickly kill the tree. Grevillea are particullarly susceptible. |
