I have no idea where Warrimoo Drive is but I'll assume it's in Southern Australia. Is your plant indoors?

Although you say you water it once a week (which sounds ok) does the water drain completely away from the base of the pot. In other words, no saucer underneath to catch the overflow. The base of the pot must never be allowed to sit in a saucer of water.

If none of this applies to your plant, get back to us and someone else might have other ideas.

its actually in queensland and it is normally indoors and i had in a saucer so ill take it out of the saucer straight away anything else i should know about.

apparently i cant not have it in a saucer because my parents say that it will leak everywhere what should i do.

wait now i look back at what you said i noticed that you said it should not be in a saucer of water not i should not have it a saucer so the real answer is that i haven't had it in a saucer of water in a long time but i have started to notice that i have forgotten to water it every week but i should water it once a week right? or what?

i assume you mean APHELANDRA SQUARROSA.......
this is an ultra tropical plant....and the one sold as "zebra plant" is a tender cultivar....which has been so overbred that it rarely survives for very long after the pandering it gets at the plant breeders nursery....i think it is especially bred for "plant appeal" and does not survive in "real" conditions..

well the name just comes from the small cardboard thing that is stuck in the plants soil. you know the ones from the bunnings. so you might be right. if you know what they look like please tell me

just google it...aphelandra squarrosa.....
EVERY PLANT YOU WANT IS ON THE INTERNET....
but you MUST use the correct botanical name or google may get confused....some cute and common names are used for many different types of plants....

yep the pictures look the same as the cardboard thing in the plant soil and there is a website so thanks i might need some help with another of my plants so keep an eye out
