Eatern states Sandstone vs WA limestone Posted 599 days ago I am currently having trouble growing natives such as Grevillia, Bottlebrush and the like on my block, the soil is predomantly solid clay PH appears normal, I have read in Dons Book Indigenous(native Garden)the section regarding the use of crushed Sandstone from the Eastern states, and making his Garden beds from this. I live in Perth WA, and my question is can I use WA limestone instead? the natives I have had good success with on my block have been planted into the sandy areas. |

RE: Eatern states Sandstone vs WA limestone Posted 596 days ago Can't see why not. They are virtually the same thing.I think the idea of the crushed rock is for the high drainage rather than nutrition.Hope this helps a bit. |
