Clivias need help

Posted 606 days ago

Can anyone suggest what I should do about my poor neglected clivias. They have been under a tree but obviously have had too much sun and not enough water during the summer. Found them today and have cut off all the burnt dead leaves but they look very sad. What do I do to revive them and get them to flower, they are in pots so I have shifted them to dappled shade.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

You could start by giving them a fertilizer, like Seasol, they need to have a fertilizer that can be absorbed through the leaves for a quick fix, then pehaps after a week revamp the soil they are in. Good Luck Hope it helps, cant do any harm I would think.

Thank you Jill, I will certainly try that, you don't think I should wait as it is winter and they should be kept dry?
Can't hurt them anyway so will give it a go.

I'd wait till september, just before their spring bloom, before fertilising. I also fertilise them with seasol in february, just before their autumn bloom. Dappled shade will do wonders over summer too.... Build up the organic matter in the soil in the mean time.
Goodluck!
