Posted 787 days ago

Can anyone give me advice i've planted a japanese maple about 2 mths ago. we have had good rain however in the hot sun the leaves got sun burnt about a month ago and now the top of the tree looks like it is dying. its losing leaves and the ones that are on it are slowly turning brown. I have used rooster poo and worm juice any clues please help.

I have the same problem. Try putting it in the shade and water it everyday if it is in a pot. I don't know what to do if it's planted in the ground.

you may have given it a shock due to the extreme heat. To prevent the problem cove the plant with a dark green shade cloth. this may help reduce the light and spray water on the leaves onces daily to cool the plant down

I have same problem with 10 maples i planted around same time !! Sea-sol and keep moist. The trees need 12 - 18 months to acclimatise, and for roots to settle. That was my advise, from several tree folk.
