I would also like to know when to prune passion fruit, We have a panama red and panama gold which we only planted last year and have heaps of passion fruit off the vine. I would also like to know how much water to give it and when fertilise and how often? We have very sandy soil as We Live at Forster on the Mid North Coast of NSW

Thank you
Maryann

Hi there,

I think it depends how old the vine is, I would only prune maybe a third off the vine if it is say older than 2 years.

The vine that is only 1 year old, I don't think you should prune it at all as it is still a young vine. In summer they need water every day and fertilise with Thrive in the blue packet for fruit and veges as per directions.
