new house planing on gardening (pics)

im planing on laying down some plants in the areas pictured i live in sydney
i have a few questions
will i be able to use the soil there? if so can i just mix in some fertilizer?
my little niece picked out some plants she would like to go into the garden
kangaroo paw
dietes grandiflora
dwarf canna lily (red)
dianthius
african daisy
carnation and i would like to add some blue fescue grass
