Yucca elephantipes

hi, I am about to plant some yuccas to my planter box. We have some organic soil there but I was just wondering if we should mixing that organig soil with some sand for the yuccas?What soil do they like?Thank you,

They don't really care what sort of soil they grow in but it must be well drained. Mixing in some sand might be a good idea to help drainage.

Yuccas are pretty reslient and will grow in just about anything. We had 8 yucca elephantipes growing along our back fence but had to pull them out once they reached 6 feet high.
