Common Lilac trees wanted in Perth

Posted 538 days ago

Can anybody help me? I am trying to find common lilac trees for my Perth home. (strong scented lilac, white or pink flowers). I recently moved to Perth from Europe and have not been able to find it anywhere yet.

I am sure the climate of Perth would be ideal for the common lialc tree and I am surprised that not many people even heard of it.

Can anybody help?

Hi Ozno. Try Tass1 Trees ph 0419 988 344. Great Northern Hwy (in the Swan Valley). They have lots of hard to find trees/plants. If they don't have it, Joe can often order it in. Other than that, lilac trees (Syringia vulgaris) are available by mail order from eastern states, ie Garden Express or Tesselaar, but it's probably too late for this year as most mail order trees are barerooted. Might be worth asking at your local Bunnings or Waldecks store.
