ground cover and grass

Posted 702 days ago

I have a number of ground cover types in the garden surrounded by lawn. The idea was/is that the cover would gradually take over the lawn and eliminate it. Unfortunately the lawn is winning! It grows through the cover and is inaccessible. Is there any way of eliminating the grass without damaging the cover.
Thanks,
Paul

ROUND UP!
Be brutal. As you know grass is a surviver. Try to get down between any pavers you may have for the underground runners.
Watch out if you have any trees nearby however as Round-up affects all plant life... Perhaps do a small trial patch and see if any larger plants are affected.
Best of luck.
