Gum Tree leaves droppings

Posted 767 days ago

We have two large, about 50 feet, silver ghost gum trees and ther are driving us crazy with the extroudinary amount of leaves that they drop.

We are looking for help to find ways to minimize the amount of leaves that the trees drop, HELP!!!

Leaves falling from trees is natural and there isn't anything you can do to slow it down or stop it.

Some gums are even summer deciduous. Maybe yours are this type.

Hi hannel. The smarty- pants answer is to give each tree 500l of water every day, forever. But I won't do that. It's only their way of minimising water loss via the leaves. Until the rains come. (Back ? ) On the plus side, though, you've got all that leaf-mulch. We back on to a reserve, so I do see your point.
