Plants yellowing at tips and base

Posted 528 days ago

We have been creating a garden in our new home in the Point Cook area of Melbourne. My problem is that my Lomandra's and other strappy plants have yellow tips and yellow stems at the base of the plant. I think it may be the PH level of the clay type soil.
We do feed our plants and have mulch down as well, but I don't know what to do about this problem. If anyone has an idea of how to correct this problem I would appreciate it.

First rule out insects. Without iron, plants have difficult time making chlorophyll, the substance that makes leaves green. Most of the time, iron deficiency is a result of the nutrients being leeched out of the soil due to over watering. Make sure that you are not over watering your plants. Feed these plants at the start of spring and then again in summer. Never feed them in autumn.
