Pesky Oxalis Posted 552 days ago Can anyone help me as I HAve a terrible problem with the weed oxalis in my garden beds. I know if you dig it out it has little nodes on the root that if left behind will grow a new plant so the more I try to control it the worse it gets. It seems to grow amongst my flowers so spraying is a problem but not out of the question if it works. HELP. |

RE: Pesky Oxalis Posted 552 days ago Glyphosate as in Round Up or zero will kill the oxalis. If it's difficult to separate weeds from the flowers, try using a childrens paint brush dipped in the solution and dab it on the weeds carefully. You'll will win in the end. |

RE: Pesky Oxalis Posted 529 days ago I've just beaten the pesky critter!! Oxalis is best sprayed when in flower. Keep toilet rolls and insert the plant into it, then spray Add a little detergent to the spray to help the poison penetrate. You could also remove any hardy plants and pot them up temporarily. good luck! |
