Eucalyptus 'Summer Red' problem

Posted 562 days ago

My Eucalyptus 'Summer Red' had one branch with red flowers and then another one shot up with white flowers (the hybrid?). Should I cut off the white flowers section even though it looks healthy, as I do want the red and don't want to stress the plant

Hi, the white flowers are probably coming from the rootstock, and will take over if it's not cut off. cut it off carefully as closely as you can to where it branches from the trunk (if it 's growing from below the graft). Ask a nursery worker to show you.
