What flower is it Posted 586 days ago We recently came across a bunch of cut flowers that I have never seen before. As a closed large bud they have a similar look of an artichoke. The bud is about 5 inches tall and 3 and a half inches wide. They are on a stem which does not appear to be hard wood. When open they were a beautiful flower with a mass of petals, cream on the outside and soft pink in the centre and were about 4 inches across. They were marked "cabbage rose". Does any one have any ideas what they are called, so far no nursery has been able to identify them from our description. I would have thought that they may have been a similar family to proteas, but the blooms petals really don't have look like any of them either. They are not kale. Sorry we did not have the forsyth to take a photo of them. |
