Dorught effected Garden

Just wondering if anyone could recommand some plants or where i could find information that would best suit a drought effected garden. The garden will be brand new to go with the house.

Plumbago are great and hardly need any water and reasonable soil. There are a lot for sale now. Also the climber potato vine seems to need no water either.
Australian natives such as bottle brush are good but need watering in to get established. Also geraniums are very hardy if you want colour. Roses are great too but they must be planted in really good soil and once established need plenty of mulch.
