Horse trainer Steve Jefferys wrote to Burke's Backyard to tell us about his black stallion, Jamieson. Jamieson, aka 'Spud', is a 7 year old Australian Stock Horse. He has a huge repertoire of tricks including: counting retrieving a ball that has been kicked to him answering questions with a nod lying down on command sitting up like a dog bowing pulling the saddle cloth off when being saddled rearing on command standing on a pedestal and balancing on a tiny surface area holding a whip in his mouth and cracking it

Jamieson, Steve and Jana the Border Collie entertained spectators at the Horsley Park Equestrian Centre during the 2000 Olympics. Jamieson also works as a stock horse, and does dressage, jumping, hacking and one day eventing. He has won many awards in shows and has also appeared in many advertisements.

You can see Jamieson performing in the Mane Event as part of the horse spectacular Equitana 2001. Steve Jefferys will delight audiences with a brand new "ballet" as Jamieson and special guest, 10 year old daughter Ashleigh, join him in the beautiful 'Toy Story' piece.
