Don visited fashion designer Wayne Cooper, his partner Sarah, and their two children, 4 year old Ruby and 10 month old Jude. The family pets include two cats, a Himalayan and a Persian, and one dog, Alfie the English Mastiff.

Wayne has not had much time for gardening lately, with his involvement in the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week and charity work for the Breast Cancer Foundation and Melbourne Kids Hospital. He is not really a keen gardener, in fact he told Don that whenever he goes near the garden he ends up in hospital! Once when a Washingtonia palm frond fell and cut off the top of his ear, and again when a thorn from a dwarf date palm became lodged in his finger.

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) 2003 SEPTEMBER 1st - 7th

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) celebrates the launch of the Spring/Summer collections in store and heralds the beginning of the season, holidays and the famous Spring Racing Carnival. The event consists of runway shows that feature Australia's most innovative retailers, designers, action-packed schedules from department stores, exhibitions and interactive workshops. Nearly all shows featured as part of the official schedule are FREE creating an effective draw card that pulls in the crowds to the style capital.

Held over seven days from 1st - 7th Sept, MSFW 2003 will feature catwalk shows and fashion events designed to introduce the greater Melbourne public to the Spring/Summer fashion ranges that have arrived in store throughout the City's eclectic mix of boutique retailers, precincts and department stores.† The actual shows will be on the Wed, Thur & Friday nights.
