Celebrity Gardener - Shirley Strickland

Our celebrity gardener this week is nuclear physicist, Shirley De La Hunty. Many people remember her as track and field star Shirley Strickland, who competed in three Olympic Games (1948, 1952 and 1956) and won 7 medals including 3 gold.

Shirley is a member of the 'Salinity Forum Inc.' - a West Australian, non-profit lobby group that runs seminars and public discussion groups to help solve both wet and dryland salinity.
