People & Places
Helen Reddy had many hit songs in the early 1970s, including 'Leave me Alone', 'Delta Dawn' and 'You and Me Against the World'. However, she is best known for 'I am Woman', which became an anthem of the feminist movement. Helen recently moved to Norfolk Island, where she lives on a property once farmed by her convict ancestor, Richard Morgan.
Helen Reddy's Norfolk pine homestead and landscaped garden is open to visitors. The 90-minute 'Helen Reddy's Home Tour' runs three times each weekday, and costs $22 per adult. Tours can be booked through travel agents, holiday operators, or on arrival via the island's visitor centre, Pinetree Tours and Bounty Excursions. For more information phone Norfolk Island Tourism: 6723 22147.
