Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC, DBE will open the gates to her magnificent Cruden Farm property on Sunday 25 October to raise vital funds for charity.
The fifth annual Spring Family Fun Day will include a children’s animal farm, the Tim & Liam circus adventure, a classic car and antique horse carriage display.
All proceeds from the day will support the work of Alzheimer’s Australia Vic, The Mental Health Foundation Australia, The Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem and the Royal Society of Victoria.
“We are proud to be part of this special day at Cruden Farm and incredibly grateful to Dame Elisabeth for her generosity and assistance to help us create awareness and raise funds to support our work,” Lynette Moore, Chief Executive Officer of Alzheimer’s Australia Vic says.
“I hope to see avid gardeners and families take up this wonderful opportunity to join Dame Elisabeth on this special day.”
Dame Elisabeth, who celebrated her 100th birthday in February 2009, says she looks forward to the Spring Family Fun Day.
“I like to meet with families, children and friends as they explore Cruden Farm and the many fun activities that are presented there on the day. I welcome one and all, look forward to seeing you and I wish everyone a very happy day,” Dame Elisabeth says.
As part of the entertainment on the day Tim McKew will present his divine Nöel Coward show at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
The day of fun, music and entertainment will be complimented with a sausage sizzle as well as magnificent Victorian wine for sale. A Devonshire tea will be provided generously by Blakes Feast.
