15th Birthday

This week we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the beginning of Burke's Backyard on television. The program started at midday on Saturdays in 1987 and quickly moved to prime time at 7.30pm on Fridays.

Since then the program has gone from strength to strength, with some extraordinary moments along the way - great moments with famous people, great gardens, great moments with animals, and some very funny moments among them all.

On behalf of the whole team at Burke's Backyard, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our viewers for their constant and loyal support over the past 15 years. Thank you so much.
