Spraying a Fertiliser
One of the easiest and best ways to give your garden a quick boost of fertiliser is to use an applicator that clicks straight onto the hose. Don recommends filling the applicator with a mixture of half Seasol for root development, and half Nitrosol for good top growth. This mixture is excellent for all your garden plants, including camellias, roses, azaleas and Australian natives. It is also very good for reviving a lawn which is looking worn and tired. The bad news is that the fertiliser smells like a mixture of dead fish and bad breath. The good news is that using this method you can fertilise an average garden in only 5-10 minutes.
Further information
A 2 litre pack of Seasol with hose end applicator costs around $16. Seasol costs $8 for 500ml, and Nitrosol costs $11 for 500ml. Both products are available nationally from supermarkets, hardware stores and garden centres.
