Keen gardeners don’t seem to notice the grime and gunk that comes off their hands when they wash up in the bathroom at the end of a gardening session. Jackie French has a great idea for solving those bathroom sink blues that comes with extra scrubbing power.
What you need
Jackie recently showed us how to keep a cake of soap by the outside tap without it dangling in the dirt. To make Jackie’s soap holder you’ll need:
1 cake of soap
1 leg from a pair of pantyhose
Method
Cut the leg off about half way down the length. Place the soap into the toe and tie the stocking onto the tap, wrapping it firmly around to keep it above ground level. Use your new soap-in-a-stocking as you would normal soap. The texture of the stocking has a mildly abrasive action on the skin making it easier to remove dirt and grime.
