The winner of the Bedding Plants of Australia's Flower of the Year for 1998 is Waltzing Petunia. Petunias are the most popular flowering annuals in Australia and are suitable to plant now and will flower well into the new year.

Climate: Petunias will grow all over Australia provided there is no risk of frost.

Description: Waltzing Petunia is an outstanding new variety of petunia which flowers early with exceptionally large single flowers and a compact growth habit. It comes in three shades of pink; true coral pink, mauve pink and cherry pink.

Availability

Waltzing Petunias are available now from nurseries throughout Australia sold as 6-8 plant punnets for $2.50-$4. They will be available in November as flowering pots for $2.50-$3.
