Endangered Birds Postage Stamps

Conservation & the Environment

Australia Post in conjunction with the Worldwide Fund for Nature Conservation has issued a series of stamps that feature four of Australia's most endangered native birds. The birds are the Gouldian Finch, the Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo, the Helmeted Honey-Eater and the Orangebellied Parrot. There is also a book called The Story of Australian Birds by Graham Pizzey which costs $12.95. Both the stamps and the book are available from Australia Post shops throughout Australia.
