Salt and Pepper Shaker Collector
Josie Southwood is a passionate collector. She has 8000 ornaments which fill every room in her house. As well as the ornaments, Josie estimates she has around 5000 pairs of salt and pepper shakers. They fill at least seven cupboards in the house and they come from all over Australia. Her favourites include a set of antique prawn shakers from Western Australia and a bride and groom, newlyweds on one side and an old couple when you turn them around.
Josie’s husband Jim doesn’t mind his wife having a hobby, but he’s worried that the collection is getting too big. Josie’s sons and daughters refuse to give her any more salt and pepper shakers or ornaments, because she has so many. Josie loves every item in her collection, but admits that she is finding it difficult to dust them all.
