Plantusforsalus is one of St Kilda’s best known icons and definitely not your average nursery. For over four years and under direction of owners Adam Wright and Greg Turner this inner city plant nursery is popular for more than just plants, featuring a gallery with exhibits from local and national artists.

The outdoor gallery features between 30 to 50 different artists who will also do commissions or work with other pieces or already existing features in your garden. The outdoor area boasts planted garden beds, a sculpture lawn, twisting paths, surprises around each corner and a number of unique garden art pieces. The artists work in different materials from timber, steel, ceramics and sandstone so there would be something that would suit every garden in Australia. Sculptures include the traditional lion head fountains but also the whimsical pig’s bottom or a mermaid seat.
