Irrigation System in Hedge

A watering system is an integral part of many good gardens, but sometimes the overall effect can be spoiled by unsightly black irrigation piping and risers. Don looked at an irrigation system growing up through a freestanding plant, with the sprinkler head just peeping over the top of the foliage. This is a clever way to hide ugly piping and elevate the sprinkler heads so that the garden is watered effectively. Setting up a hidden irrigation system is possible using any densely foliaged plant, for example camellia, box or box honeysuckle (Lonicera nitida), provided the sprinklers can still work properly.
