Nature of problem: 
Little Gem Magnolia in a pot for 5 years would it stay stunted or grow to full height if removed and planted in the ground please?

In a pot for 5 years is about 3 feet tall and looking to plant in the ground but concerned it may grow to tall.

Sandy

 

How often do you water the plant:
Three times a week

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
8 to 10 hours daily

 

What type of plant is it:
Magnolia Little Gem

 

How long since you planted it:
5 years

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
Slow release fertiliser three times a year

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
Outdoors

Answer: Hi Sharon,  Provided that you prune off some of the circling roots and some at the base of the rootball at planting time, all should be fine. Do this in Winter or Autumn.   Don
