Gnomes
As an Australia Day Ambassador I visited the Blue Mountains. Part of their activities was a gnome festival where my job was to judge the best ones. They were really apologetic & defensive about their gnomes. And worried about my views on gnomes, perhaps thinking I might find them offensive & not appreciate them as much as they do.
My view is that gardens exist for one purpose and one purpose only.
To put smiles on people’s faces.
So gnomes are great! They make adults smile and they make kids smile. They add magic to gardens for kids.
We should never be so precious as to think that gardens are only about plants: they are not.
How wonderful to add magic and fun to the lives of young children.
Get gnomes and get over any hang-ups that you might have about gardens.
Gardens are for entertaining, playing backyard cricket and sports in general, for quiet relaxation and for kids – AND FOR GNOMES!
