Easy and safe vegies
As you all get hooked on growing your own fruit and vegies at home, often the vegie gardens get messy and out of control.
Winter is the ideal time to reorganise the vegie garden.
The best and safest vegie gardens are no more than 1m wide – this makes tending them very easy and safe.
Ideally a potager garden (i.e. well designed vegie garden) is near the back door in full sun all day and divided into small areas about 1m x 2 or 3m. This makes the essential crop rotation easy to plan out too.
A gridded, geometric vegie garden always looks stunning; all that you need is a tape measure, a few thin stakes and some string line.
Then, even the empty vegie areas will look neat and orderly.
Raised vegie gardens are also easier to work on and harvest the produce.
